About The Smile Project
The
Smile Project is an activism project aimed to promote positive mental
and body health. We want to encourage healthy and confident smiles that
result in healthy and confident people. Feel free to explore our website
and learn how a genuine smile can brighten someone's day through many
health benefits and scientific explanations. Take a look at our photo
gallery to see what makes different people smile, visit our positivity
corner for daily pick-me-ups, or submit your smile and see how uniquely
special smiles can be. Most importantly, share the positivity with your
friends... smiling is contagious!
The Smile Project was created and conceived by four undergraduate students at Michigan State University. While walking on campus one day they noticed a lack of positive energy. It seemed as if the people were just going through the motions rather than enjoying their actual day. A question was soon raised by the four students- What was the easiest way to fix the negative atmosphere? Smiling.
This project is needed to create a positive community on campus and ensure that all students can enjoy each and everyday. Smiles are, in fact, contagious.
